Just looking for suggestions on this one...

I've got a form that is typically filled out by the user/customer, but occasionally it will be filled out FOR the customer by an outsourced employee while talking with them on the phone. (These employees will NOT have Wordpress access).

What would be the best way to designate that a form was filled out by a particular employee without having an odd field for customers to see?

I hope this makes sense. : )

Thanks...

Hi there - a client just pointed out to me that the Submit button isn't working in Chrome for this form: http://www.rowboatmedia.com/rowboat-media-client-homework/

However, it DOES work for my general inquiry form on the same site. Nothing fancy with these forms - I have just created them and let my own site's CSS run what it wants to run.

A search on Chrome shows that some people are getting double submissions - but in this instance, the button isn't even clickable.

Thanks for your help!

Hello, this is a sort of follow up to this post.

I need to manipulate the contents of inputs using jQuery via my template. What is the best way to do this? (In my case, best probably means simplest, rather than most robust.)

In the past, I have arduously used dozens of WP custom fields to pass along the IDs via php. That's not a good option, if it can be helped.

Thanks,
- tollie

Hi there -- a site I am bidding on would like to create a database (hire data-entry people to input info from old site to new site via a Gravity Form) and then have the option later on for people who are in the database (this is for an alumni association) to use a Gravity Form to prepop their existing information and then when they re-submit it, have it update what's in the database.

However, it'd be best if a moderator could approve the info before the database is updated, but we may be able to avoid that by having an alumni sign up for an account ahead of time to authenticate their status.

Then, the information in this database would be output as entries (photo plus questions filled out) based on the year someone chooses to query by when visiting the site.

Does this all sound possible? I know Gravity Forms can prepop but beyond that I am not sure.

Thanks for your time!

Hi,

Sorry to ask for help, but I am having difficulty with the positioning of the First & Last Name sub labels.

I've looked through the forums and docs, and been using firebug on my other forms to work out why they are right aligned but can't fix it.

You can view the form here: http://www.aspect-emailmarketing.co.uk/find-out-more-form-2/

and here is the CSS for it.

.gform_wrapper ul { margin:10px 0 0 0; padding:0!important; line-height:normal!important; list-style: none; }

When two or more people are concurrently filling-out forms, the last one to hit the submit button replaces the entries of the first ones to submit. So, when there are about 10 people filling out forms and the gap in the time they submitted the form is very minimal, only 1 entry is reflected.

The most irritating part is that the ALL counter on the upper left reflects the number of entries submitted even when you can see only one. The counter continuously adds up even after you have exported the entries and none can be seen anymore.

The worst part is I discovered this only after going live. It was a nightmare as I kept on losing data that had been submitted already. I tested the form yes, but since I was the only one testing, everything was ok, until 5 or more people started filling out forms all at once.

It seems that there has to be some gap in the submission in order for the entries to add up and to be reflected accurately.

Please help.

Am using the latest version.

I am so close to integrating Foxycart and Gravity Forms. I am able to send the data over to Foxycart using a redirect URL with query string

However

I need to add class="foxycart" to that link for it to work/look decent. Is there anyway to do this?

Maybe I spaced recently, but I had thought I'd seen an option in the Form Settings under the Advanced tab to customize the "action" URL the form submits to. I was looking at the latest version and I didn't see that so I thought maybe it was another of my development dreams ;)

I understand I can setup a filter to switch out the action using the 'gform_form_tag' filter, but is it planned to have something like this within the Form Settings itself under the Advanced tab?

Perhaps there is a better option (I would love to learn about it) but the ability to pass data to foxycart.com would be very helpful. While it is not a free service, it handles a wide range of payment gateways(authorize.net, paypal etc) and I think it would be very useful.

Chris Coyier did a couple of screencast that show it off:
